Electric Cooking Exhibition Events

SPI Nepal, in collaboration with its local partners, organized a series of Electric Cookstove Exhibitions across Ganeshman Charnath Municipality and Birgunj Metropolitan City on various dates to promote the adoption of electric cookstoves. The events aimed at educating local communities on the benefits of clean cooking, showcasing the induction cookstoves, and fostering connections with local suppliers offering electric cookstoves and compatible utensils.

The exhibitions were located in busy market areas (Hatiya Bazar) with high visibility and accessibility to households and traders. The events featured live cooking demonstrations, taste tests, and vendor stalls featuring electric cookstoves and cookstove-compatible utensils on display. Local government officials, including Deputy Mayor, Ward Chairpersons and Ward Members, actively participated in the exhibitions, experienced the cookstoves themselves and provided feedback to encourage the adoption of clean cooking alternatives. The exhibitions gathered over 1,100 visitors, many experiencing electric cookstoves for the first time, with 374 community members formally registering interest in the cookstoves.
